Creative Resource Manager

You Are Here (YAH) is looking for a Creative Resource Manager who will evaluate incoming assignments, resource and assign projects, play a role in ensuring YAH consistently delivers the best work, in the most productive way. This position requires strong organizational and planning skills, decision making within the scope of the position’s responsibilities, and the use of discretion and good judgment. This person will also be critical to attracting, engaging, and maintaining relationships with freelance talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Resource management for Creative, Studio and Production.
  • Run weekly resource meetings.
  • Monitor day-to-day project activities, tracking changes and identifying potential instances of under-utilization; actively solving those issues.
  • Maintain and update project tracking grid.
  • Source, hire, and develop a freelance bench of talent.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to generate and maintain contracts for all temp employees, independent contractors, etc.
  • Support and become well-versed in each creative team member’s strength, experience and passion to best match team members against projects.
  • Work with department leadership to audit, recommend and improve workflow where possible.
  • Understand team dynamics; participate in continual efforts to improve agency processes and increase productivity; coming up with ideas to help us run more smoothly.
  • Help drive and maintain the agency culture.
  • Serve as orientation lead for all new and freelance employees. Develop and implement more efficient client-by-client On-Boarding for freelancers and new staff.
  • Partner with Executive Vice President of Creative & Strategy.
  • Always ensure alignment with Project Management team and Client Teams.
  • Create a positive environment daily where creativity can flourish.
  • Attend industry events; be a YAH brand ambassador.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Business, Marketing, Advertising and/or related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in advertising/marketing – knowledge of agency resource/traffic management as well as experience with creative, traditional, digital and social media projects.
  • Solid track record of successfully managing projects from start to completion and experience with agency management software.
  • Deep understanding of technical development process, e.g. agile, scrum as well as steps in the QA process.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbally, written and listening.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented.
  • Must be an active team player & champion team-centric approach to project management/execution.
  • Must have the ability to motivate a wide-range of talent/resources.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – must have a focus on driving results.
  • MS Office experience – project management software a plus.
  • NetSuite Experience a plus.
